September 4 is UMW in Room 107

Hello[All United Methodist Women and friends are invited to the Unit Meeting the first Wednesday of the Month...September through May.

 

Just a reminder that UMW will meet September 4, 2013 at 10:00.  Mission Team at 9:00.

 

 The program is going to be Dr. Edgar Ailor (Kathleen's son) who has recently published a photographic book entitled Blue Highways Revisited. He followed the route of William Least Heat-Moon who wrote Blue Highways back in 1978 and photographed persons and places visited by Heat-Moon. This should be a very interesting program, and I hope that many of you will plan to attend.  The refreshments are provided at the beginning of the meeting.

 

Rachel Circle is the hostess for our first meeting this Fall.

 

Also, we still need a Recording Secretary for next term. Robin asked me to post this request with this notification of our meeting.  Sheila Scott will do the yearbook, as she so graciously has done for several years.  Shirley Link has volunteered to be Communication Secretary who writes the articles and notices for our Church Newsletter on line page.

 

So the only responsibility would be keeping minutes at the Unit meetings, serving on the Mission Team, and presenting the minutes at each meeting, usually in typewritten form.

 

I hope one of you that reads this will feel called to serve in this position. All of the other offices are filled, thanks to the outstanding work of our Nominating Committee, Chaired by Robin Freeland and her committee Jo Donnelly and Marie White.  Thank you ladies!!!
