About the bazaar -- As you probably already know, the Chili Day/UMW bazaar
was rescheduled for Monday, October 28. This will actually be a better time for
a bazaar because it will give us an opportunity to sell seasonal items. We will
set up, as usual, on that Sunday afternoon, Oct. 27, at 2:00. Please plan on
coming to help set up and work with me on the actual day. We will have a new
booth this year for purses. Sheila Scott has agreed to "chair" this booth. We
are asking for "gently used" purses to be donated. This way you can get rid of a
purse you no longer use and can purchase something "new." Sheila said this was a
big hit at her sister's bazaar. So we are going to try it. So, ladies,
bring us your purses.....but they need to be clean and
in good shape and almost "new." Also, please be working on items that you can
donate for sale. We already have a good supply of books, but if you have more,
bring them on. Baked items also do well. And, this year bring some seasonal
items to sell......Thanksgiving, fall, or Christmas. These should sell better
than they did in February!!! We don't have a lot of time until the big day, so
spread the word to everyone to get busy and prepare the items for the
bazaar.
