UMW POSTPONED TO Feb. 12

Ladies,

I am sending to all UMW in my address book.  See you on the 12th.  Dorothy Wagner is scheduled for surgery for hip replacement tomorrow.  Please keep her in your prayers.

Ladies of UMW,

Unfortunately, they just wouldn’t change that weather forecast!

I waited until after the noon weather to make sure they hadn’t changed our forecast and now that it is confirmed I will cancel UMW on Wed. 5^th and reschedule it on the 12^th, with the executive meeting at 9 a.m.

We were scheduled to have Lu Lockwood to talk about our Mission, and our money and our pledge and Lu said she could reschedule. So please pass this info on to those not on this e-mail. Rescheduling is a new thing and I would hope everyone can get the information and come to our meeting next week.

Be safe in the snow.

Dorothy Wagner is scheduled to have her hip replacement surgery on Thurs., Feb. 6th, at 7:00 a.m., unless she gets a phone call on Wed. informing her differently.  I just talked with Dorothy early this afternoon, (Tues. 2/ 4).  Dorothy is also concerned about getting to Columbia because of this snow, besides her concerns about her surgery.  Please do keep her in prayers.  Was going to ask Sandy Wolfgang to sent out a reminder to the prayer group, but this will probably suffice.  Thank you for upholding Dorothy Wagner in your steadfast prayers. ... Be thankful we don’t live in K.C., or back east where they are having 8” of that fluffy, white snow!

Dorothy Wagner surgery was successful.  She will be at the Med Center a few days, and then go for rehabilitation.  Her daughter and David are with her. We can say prayers of Thanks now.  Praise the Lord!

I just talked to David Wagner and Dorothy got out of recovery at 2pm and she ate a good supper. He said they opted for a nerve block so she didn't have to have so much anesthesia--supposed to last 24 hours before slacking off and she doesn't have to have so much pain reliever.
