Good afternoon friends!

Please remember that tomorrow morning we will take communion together online. Let me encourage you to set up a sacred space in your house (your coffee table, your dining table, etc.), so that during our 10am online service we can all take communion together! You can use any form of the “fruit of the vine”: grape juice, wine, koolAid, etc. Crackers, pita bread, French bread or sliced sandwich bread can be used as the “Body of Christ” in our time together. Whatever you have available is sufficient and will be blessed as we worship together. Remember also, after the service has concluded, those elements cannot be discarded, as they are the consecrated Body & Blood of Christ.  Simply return them to the earth as we do behind our sanctuary on Sunday morning. Break up the bread for the birds and pour out onto the ground the remaining unconsumed juice. Until we can meet together again, we can still celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion together in this way.

If you are unable to watch the service at 10am, know that it will remain on our website and on Facebook for later worship time in your home. Whenever you receive the Body and Blood of Christ in your home or place of business, those elements will be considered sacred as well.

Also, in your prayer time today and in the coming days, please hold in prayer Randy & Kathy Savage. Randy had to be hospitalized in Houston due to a medical complication that delayed his treatment. It is unclear whether or not he will be able to be released today, or whether or not he will receive his treatment.

Also, remember Kim & Keith Russell and all of their family as Kim’s dad Malcom Lancaster will be released from Brook Army Medical Center today to go home under hospice care. His medical condition has improved slightly but he is still very critical, but this will allow him to be with family and those he loves in his own home. We pray for Malcom for whatever healing God plans for him.

Bill Johns is feeling some anxiety about his upcoming skin cancer surgery on his neck, and also concerned about his father Herman who suffered a fall last week where he lives at the Temple Veterans Home.

Blessings

Ellen
