Hello,

I have been running some analyses and generating LocusZoom plots, but I am encountering an issue with the plot layout. Specifically, when I want to export a PNG showing the entire locus, I need to zoom out considerably, which results in more genes being displayed in the gene track. As a consequence, the gene labels begin to overlap, making them difficult to read.

Is there a way to mitigate this issue, for example by adjusting the gene label formatting, spacing, font size, or track layout, so that the full locus can be visualized without overlapping gene names?

Thank you in advance for your answer.
I also want to thank you for the amazing job you do in FUMA!

All the best, Elisa

Hi Elisa,

While it is possible to add the options as you suggested, unfortunately currently we won't be able to work on it as there are other more urgent issues to work on.

Perhaps you could have 2 plots: a zoom-out plot showing the whole locus, and a zoom-in plot (or plots) to show regions of interest.

Best,
Tanya
