Hi all,
A new user here. Any idea if the FUMA server is down or running very slow ? Cause my job (submitted yesterday) is still QUEUED. Previous jobs used to take ~ 30 mins max.

Thanks
Pab

Hi,

I am having the same issue.
I've already run into jobs failing for unclear reasons. Some, but not all, failed with ERROR: 3 but the POS/BP column is indeed an integer (which seemed like the fix for others with this problem). Are there other common issues that cause this error? I'm wondering if my issues are server related?

Thanks,
Chris

Hi,
Luckily I haven't faced any such issues mentioned above. My jobs are taking 2-3 days to be completed on avg.

Thanks
Pab

Hi Chris and Pab,

@Pab Unfortunately, the job queue length is large at the moment because a few users were submitting a very large number of jobs. Those jobs have been put on hold so hopefully the wait time will decrease now.

@Chris can you share the jobIDs that work and those that fail so I can see what is causing the errors?

Cheers,
Doug

Hi Doug,

A while after I posted that, my job went from 'Job Failed' to completed. I didn't realize this messaging would happen (I thought it had just failed for an unknown reason). Hope this info will be helpful for others too.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi Chris,

This can happen when a job runs to completion but takes longer than the time limit. Usually jobs which take longer than the time limit are killed but yours was not for some reason, instead it was just labelled as failed until it was completed. I recommend skipping the MAGMA step to avoid having the job killed.

Cheers,
Doug
