Dear FUMA team,

I want to ask questions about my Job ID: 622453. For SNP rs189256817,  in Results -> SNPs(annotations), the Nearest gene shows HABP2; in Results -> Mapped Genes, the SNP has been mapped to HABP2 and NRAP. I want to know why gene NRAP didn’t show in the SNPs(annotations) tab? HABP2 and NRAP both are my findings in this GWAS analysis, correct?

Thanks,
Yuhan

Hi Yuhan,

In Results -> SNPs(annotations), the Nearest gene, the nearest gene is HABP2 because the snp's position overlaps with the range of this gene.

SNP rs189256817 position: 115344875. This overlaps with the range of the gene HABP2: 115310596 - 115349361. You can also see it in this image:

For the mapping step, you used the default parameters for position mapping, which also map SNPs to gene within 10kb:

In this case, the  SNP rs189256817 is within 10kb of the range of the gene NRAP (115348475 - 115423886).

Best,
Tanya
