Using METAL files as input to FUMA

The FUMA tutorial states that one can use METAL files directly. However, we are not sure how we go about the effect column, which is called BETA in FUMA.
In the file from METAL we are provided with a Z-score. Should we use this column directly as "BETA" in FUMA, or should we not include an effect score at all?
I would highly appreciate any feedback on this :)

Hi Ada,
We use the Beta to check the direction of effect. I believe you can therefore use the z-scores as BETA.
You could also estimate the beta (https://www.biostars.org/p/319584/#414335 / https://www.nature.com/articles/ng.3538 ).
