A snowy hello and happy holidays to all y'all!

Some quick news (maybe old news to those of you who are on the Fulton
Lights facebook page):

Fulton Lights made it onto Said the Gramophone's Best of 2010 with
"Staring Out the Windows," just a little below Willow Smith's "Whip My
Hair," which we acknowledge as being the catchier tune. It's an
awesome list; out of the 100 songs on there I found a whole bunch of
great stuff that I'd never heard before:

"Staring out the Windows" is available on itunes along with the rest
of the Fulton Lights catalog of hits, in case any of you have some
post-holiday itunes gift cards that you're looking to put to good
use. www.itunes.com/fultonlights/3songs. If you have even more dough
to throw around, for what it's worth I thought Caribou's "Swim" was
probably my favorite album of the year, though Arcade Fire's The
Suburbs was really great, too. Kanye's album could have been my
favorite, had he had the good sense to include "Chain Heavy" on it
instead of b-siding it. 10.0? Come on. But it is good, true
dat.

We'll be kicking off 2011 by going into Inner Ear Studio with TJ
Lipple for a couple days to get crackin' on a batch of new stuff that
has been percolating. Some of the new stuff seems to follow the same
trajectory as "3 Songs" and "Healing Waters," though a lot is pushing
into new territory for me. I'm excited about all of it, and we'll see
where it leads.

On Jan 23rd maybe we'll see some of you DC-area people at the 9:30
club where we will be opening up for the Dismemberment Plan and Office
of Future Plans. The show has been sold out for a while, but if any
of you think you might have what it takes to be a Fulton Lights backup
dancer, feel free to submit your clips.

Some other little surprises that I'll keep mum about for now, but
otherwise that's about it. With each year that goes by I become
increasingly appreciative of every chance I get to make music, of the
friends I have made through doing it, and of how much I've grown
through the whole journey.

Lots of love in '11,

Rockin' gold teeth and fangs,

Andy/Fulton Lights
