Hi all,

The new Fulton Lights album comes out today! It's called "The Way We
Ride." Catbird Records is releasing the cd and allowing people to
download the album directly from them on a pay-what-you-want model.
And Android Eats Records will once again handle the digital via iTunes
and eMusic and all that jazz. Those sites should have the album
available shortly.

The album can be streamed, downloaded, and purchased here:

I produced it on my own this time, and it is the best thing I've ever
done. Ever. It's a rawer album with a broader emotional and
aesthetic palette, rougher edges, and a huge, big ole widescreen
scope. It is, as they say, balls out. Untethered. Ryan over at
Catbird has called it my "Kid A," I think in the sense of it being a
gauntlet-thrown-down type of record, if not necessarily sonically.
He's too kind, of course.

The Way We Ride had some Fulton Lights alums from the last record
returning to contribute their skills: Still (x-dalek), Karen Waltuch
(Foetus, Wilco), Rob Christiansen (East Ghost West Ghost), Steve
Silverstein (Christmas Decorations), James Ilgenfritz III. Plus some
recent initiates into the crew: Peter Hess (The Hold Steady, World
Inferno Friendship Society), Kristin Mueller (Lucinda Black Bear), Jay
Foote (Matt Bauer), Ravish Momin (Trio Tarana), and Gerald Menke
(Super Furry Animals, Mercury Rev). Alap "Oktopus" Momin (dalek)
helped me mix it. Badasses, every last one.

I leave tomorrow to circumnavigate the globe. Wish me luck, I'll need
it. Along the way I'll be doing shows here and there. The dates that
I've got so far are below, feel free to spread the word. I'm hoping
to add a few more shows in October and November, and one show in
Melbourne Australia in mid-January that we're working out. Stay
tuned.

Oh, almost forgot to mention that I have a new blog, called Sound
Travels. It's exactly what you'd think, or maybe not. It's field
recordings. I'll be keeping that up while I travel, so if you're
curious as to what trouble I'm getting into, or what the Acropolis
sounds like, you know where to look. www.soundtravels.tumblr.com.

See you 'round the bend.
Andy
