Fuller Life book released
The book, "Fuller Life, The Book, A Journey" was released by Rev. Fr
Allan Noronha, Ex-Manager Pilar Education Society at a glittering
function attended by many dignitaries from the fields of Education and
Management at the jam-packed hall of Leonoras, Verna, recently.
Fr. Allan, who specially came down from Ranchi for the function has
himself been actively involved with Leo D'Mello, the author of the
book, in coordinating the Fuller Life Program, on which the book is
based. The Fuller Life Program has been conducted in various colleges
and schools all over Goa and other parts of India.
Mrs Edna D'Mello invited the dignitaries and guests who came to
celebrate her husband's 50th birthday and the release of his book,
"Fuller LIfe, the book, a journey".
Mr Aarvind Bhatikar, ex-MPT Chairman and social activist, delivered
the keynote address in which he explained that the book was a multi-
disciplinary approach in living a fuller life. He explained that
several of the tools mentioned in the book have roots in ancient India
and are also the fruits of a cause and effect scientific research.
Despite the fact that there are scientific terminologies and medical
references, the book is in easy to read and digest-style, said Mr
Bhatikar. He concluded by saying this is not a book for reading like a
novel or work of fiction but a 'user-manual' for living an abundant
and happy life. His closing words were, "buy it, read it and do it".
Dr Francisco Colaco, eminent physician, popular columnist and social
worker, then gave the Foreword to the book. He praised the author, Leo
D'Mello, for both talking the talk and walking the walk, as the book
drives from many of the personal testimonies and experiences of the
author. He felt the book was an excellent tool for body-mind
development but it quietly leads one to spiritual development as well
by espousing the time honoured values of forgiveness and caring for
making the world a better place to live in.
Dr Francis Fernandes, lecturer of Shiroda College of Homeopathy, spoke
of his relationship with the author Leo D'Mello and how he worked with
him and a few others from 1989, in the development of the self
enhancement Fuller Life Program. He testified how Leo infects people
with positivity and enthusiasm to live a fuller life. He felt there
would be many more powerful and inspiring books coming from Leo. He
also recounted how Leo's parents had influenced him with their down to
earth faith in the goodness of people.
Leo D'Mello, who was also celebrating his 50th Birthday, proposed a
vote of thanks. He thanked his parents who had given him the twin
gifts of unshakeable faith in God and love for scriptures which held
him in good stead in all the vicissitudes of life. He thanked Roque
Fernandes who spurred him on to write the book in eight days, Assis
D'Souza who did the layout and designing of the book and his wife and
children who inspired him in the writings and in living the fuller
life.
The book will be made available for sale at all leading book stores in
Goa and other parts of India.
