chrome_proxy.exe does not run app after chrome crash

I have been using the standalone version of this great app for a long time now. But my computer crashed to just a black screen, then I did a system restore, but then Chrome browser would not start. So I reinstalled the browser and it now works, but chrome_proxy now does nothing with an app_id specified. (It does start a blank browser window if I omit the app_id.)

Hi, I'm not familiar with "chrome_proxy" and "app_id" that you mentioned, don't know what they mean. Maybe you can describe what problem you're facing? Normally you just go to https://fullscreen-for-googletasks.com/ to use this app.

Chrome allows you to create a shortcut on your desktop that loads a webpage:

     Menu | Cast Save and Share | Create Shortcut

It USED to create a shortcut on the desktop (with those parameters) so that it created the url in a fullscreen window like a regular app, but now it creates a shortcut with a different syntax which loads into a new tab. Don't know why the old syntax doesn't work anymore, but probably was a Chrome update that changed it.

What do you see on the top right corner in the app? Is there any button besides the  and the search bar?

Just the search and gear icon, whether I open it from the browser extension or the shortcut I created that opens chrome with a new tab. Used to be with the shortcut and chrome_proxy, tasks would open in a new window but there would be nothing above that line (no tabs, menu, etc). 

I guess I can live with it the way it is now!

What do you see on the top right corner in the app when you use https://fullscreen-for-googletasks.com/ and also log in? The same as the extension?
