Feature request: View Completed Task sis by side open tasks

Thank you for this app. I would love to see my completed tasks side by side with my list of open tasks. That would give me a good sense of accomplishment and lower the friction to have to call this window up separately.

It would also be good if it would count the number of completed tasks.

Yes. I second this feature request. In fact, I have an additional feature request based on the above: If it is possible, please interleave the incomplete and complete tasks in their order of creation. I am unsure if data storage format used by Tasks internally will allow this or not, but if it does, then this would be a killer addition to the app.

Hi, sorry it's impossible. After a task is checked off, it loses the position info on the google server, so there's no way to know its position within the list.

As for "count the number of completed tasks", you'll have to use the official google app - this value is not exposed to 3rd party developers. However, after you've used the list for a while and the completed counts goes into hundreds, it starts to lose meaning.

I noticed also that there is no keyboard shortcut for a new task when the app is active on my mac. Is it possible to create one e.g. 't' or CMD-t?

Would it be possible to color-code a task e.g. red, green, blue, yellow?

Hi, I might add the shortcut to create a new task in future updates. For now, you can press enter to create a new task (but only when the cursor is already focused on a task).

As for color coding, no it's impossible. The google server doesn't store this info, and there's no way to sync it to your phone app.

Understood about colors. Many thanks for a simple keyboard shortcut in the future. I was aware that a new task can be created with a simple enter/return if I am ready in a task And it is wonderful there is a keyboard shortcut for a subtask. Many thanks.
