How often does it happen? 1 in 10 times? Or more?

It sounds like an issue of bad internet connection. If you're sure you internet connection wasn't bad, then I'm not sure what's causing it, but I'm recently working on deploying this app onto Google Play for Chromebook users. Hopefully soon. I think the new deployment has a chance of fixing the issue you described, whatever the cause of that issue is.

You could try https://fullscreen-for-googletasks.com , it's a website version of the same app, which doesn't involve a chrome extension.

It may solve your issue, but it will have various other issues and bugs, because it's still in beta, and not ready for the public. I am going to fix those bugs in the next 1-2 weeks.
