I'm trying to use the shortcut for moving an item to another list whilst using my macbook, it tells me to use Control + Option + X

However when i press these three together all i get is this symbol ≈

Anyone have any idea how to use that shortcut on a mac? 😊

Does any visual change happen on the left side (your list of lists) when you press the keys? If not, please paste a screenshot of the  ≈  symbol you mentioned, because I don't know what that is. Thanks!

Nothing happens, just the little ≈ symbol

Did you press all 3 keys? The ≈ symbol can be produced by just option-x, which are only 2 keys.

Do other shortcuts work properly? (they all involve ctrl+option)

None of the shortcuts work using Control

Option + Command + Enter will create a subtask, but that is the only shortcut that works on my 2019 MacBook Pro

Thanks. Unfortunately I don't have a mac to test myself, so I'm not sure my code is working. However, this app has been out 2+ years, and no users have reported similar issues so far. Is it possible that your ctrl key isn't working? It could be either due to some software settings, or hardware problem.

I had this exact same problem on my m3 macbook pro, but I just found a solution for my particular case. I have the magnet app installed and it uses very similar shortucts to the ones in this app. I just went into preferences for magnet and turned off a few of the shortcuts and now everything works as expected.

Unsure if you have magnet as well, but if not, then probably worth checking if you have any other apps using the same shortcut.

Note for dr.z that magnet is a very popular app for mac users. It runs in the background to provide tools for resizing windos (similar on windows machines).
