App/API missing tasks created in Google Docs?

I don't see tasks create in Google docs appearing in "Full Screen for Google Tasks" ... any ideas? My guess is the API is not passing them on.

Steps to recreate
1 - Go to Google docs
2 - Add line "Remember the milk"

3 - Put @task at the end, this triggers task creation
4 - assign to me task goes into "My Tasks" list
Expected result - task appears in "Full Screen for Google Tasks"
Actual Result - task doesn't appear

Yes it's not supported by the API. This was mentioned in the first question in the in-app FAQ.
