Dear Rama:Welcome to the US – I hope that you had a smooth trip and are settling in well! This message contains important information on how to report your arrival to IIE. Please complete the following steps within 15 days of the program start date listed on your Form DS-2019.Step 1 (Required): Report your arrival to IIE through the Fulbright Self Service Portal by following the Fulbright Arrival Instructions. In order to report your arrival you will need scanned copies of your Form DS-2019, border-stamped J-1 visa, and your I-94 card. (You can access your I-94 card here: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94.) You will also need your current US address (even if this address is temporary).If you move to a new address, you must provide IIE with this address within 10 days of moving. This can be done through the Fulbright Self Service Portal.Step 2 (Required): Using these instructions, submit your Health Release Form and proof of enrollment (also referred to as “enrollment verification”) through the Fulbright Self Service Portal.Step 3: Visit your host institution’s international office to report your arrival, register for an international student orientation, and learn about the resources that they provide. If you are receiving grant funding directly from IIE, you can collect your first grant payment at the international office.Step 4: Submit your complete Grant Payment Deposit Form and a void check through the IIE Self Service Portal within 15 days of your program start date. If your check does not include your name and address on it, please submit a direct deposit sign-up sheet from the bank listing your name, address, bank account info and the bank’s routing number. Do these AFTER you arrive in the US:

6. Open a US Bank Account and Enroll in Direct Deposit to receive your monthly stipend
7. Apply for a SSN/ITIN number for tax purposes
1. Report your arrival through the Participant Service Portal
Within 10 days of arriving you must report your arrival online at https://mycusthelp.info/IIE/_cs/Login.aspx?sSessionID=&target=%2fIIE%2f_cs%2fCustomerIssues.aspx by scanning and uploading your immigration documents (Ds2019, J-1 Visa and I-94 Card), so that we can validate your immigration record. You can obtain a copy of your I-94 card at www.cbp.gov/I94. Please be sure to fill out the information exactly as it appears on your passport. Your Class of Admission should always be J-1 for you and J-2 for any dependents that are with you in the U.S.
2. Submit a Health Information Release Form
Attached to this email is the Health Information Release form. You’ll see you need to print the Grantee Authorization for Release of Health Related Information, then sign it, scan it and then upload it to the Portal: https://mycusthelp.info/IIE/_cs/Login.aspx?sSessionID=&target=%2fIIE%2f_cs%2fCustomerIssues.aspx
3. Submit a Proof of Full Time Enrollment
Next you will need to submit your official proof of enrollment once you start your classes. Fulbright requires this document to be an official copy from the Registrar’s office. So please go to the Registrar’s Office on-campus and ask for one. Once you have it please log back onto the Portal and upload it. 4. Print your ASPE Health Benefits Card
You will need to print your ASPE Health Benefit card once you arrive.
1. Go to https://myplan.sevencorners.com/default.login.cfm
2. Click on Setup New Account
3. Enter My Plan ID (IIE Grantee ID) and Birth Date
4. Create Login and Password
5. Click on Forms
6. Click Display and Print Virtual ID Card
5. Check-In at the International Student Office on-campus and pick up your first stipend check
Once you arrive on-campus please check-in with the International Student office to let them know you’ve arrived. You are receiving a stipend directly from IIE and your first stipend check will be mailed to the International Student office and you can pick it up there by the start date of your Ds2019.
6. Open a US Bank Account and Enroll in Direct Deposit to receive your monthly stipend
It is mandatory that you enroll in the direct deposit option for your Fulbright stipend. To enroll you must follow these instructions. Go to the Reporting Documents link on the right-hand side, then scroll down and find the Grant Payment Deposit Form section. Print the Grant Payment Deposit Form and fill it out. Then gather the rest of the documents.
1. The Grant Payment Deposit Form (see attached)
2. A scanned copy of your check that includes your name and US address printed with VOID written on it
3. *A direct deposit sign-up sheet- If your check does not include your name and address, please also submit a direct deposit sign-up sheet from the bank, stamped and signed by the bank official
Once you have the documents listed above, please go to the Portal and upload the documents: https://mycusthelp.info/IIE/_cs/Login.aspx?sSessionID=&target=%2fIIE%2f_cs%2fCustomerIssues.aspx
7. Apply for a SSN/ITIN number for tax purposes

Throughout the year I will be sending reminders about submitting required documents to comply with your Fulbright grant, including your official proof of enrollment at the beginning of each semester and an official transcript at the end of each semester. Fulbright requires both documents and they have to be official copies that are ordered through the Registrar’s office. IIE is paperless, so everything you submit will either be scanned and uploaded to the website or scanned and emailed to me directly.
