Hi guys!

I hope you're all managing to stay warm and begin to enjoy the end of winter and start of spring! I was hoping to ask y'all if you had any experience with Google Chrome notebooks in Japan. Or for starters, are they even available there? Capable of typing in Japanese? The in-laws back in Yanagawa seem to struggle with Skype every time we call them, so I'm trying to think of something easier for them to use. Of course I could always send them an iPad2 or mini or something with Skype on it, but it might be nice to try something different you know? That and I'm kind of curious to see if a Chrome notebook would be something useful to program on instead of lugging around the legacy Windows laptop or re-imagined linux box.

All the best from Texas!

Ben,

I am in San Antonio, Texas now. What part do you live in?
