Friends of fujara and overtone flute,
as you probably know already, another First time fujara event is about to take place in 6 weeks from now,
in the beautiful environment of the Vallachian Museum in in Nature in Roznov p.R.:
http://www.vmp.cz
where the first fujara workshop in Czech Republic will take place on September 13 - 14th, 2008.

The VMP (Valasske Muzeum v Prirode) is a large organization, running 3 locations of the "museum in nature" (skansen), and programs, workshops, and festivals EVERY weekend throughout the year, and have plenty of experience in organizing, but I believe we will be able to find something to complain about after the workshop.

But right now, it is time to register, if you have not done so yet, register with me, and in case you don't have my email address, here it is: (fujara at gmail dot com) - change to proper format.

The event is in official program of the VMP here (scroll down to September 13 - 14)
http://www.vmp.cz/english/program08-eng.htm
Program:
Saturday 9-13, Vallachian Village:
9 A.M. to 12 P.M. , after lunch 1 P.M. to 5 P.M., in the evening surprise program for all participants
Sunday 9-14,Vallachian Village:
9 A.M. to 12 P.M. , after lunch 1 P.M. official closing of workshop,
3 P.M. Fujara concert open to public in the "Wooden Town" (either in the amphitheatre, or on inside stage, depending on the weather)

Vallachian Village, and Wooden Town are 2 of the VMP exhibition areas, all within a short walking distance, as everything else in the town of Roznov pod Radhostem (pod Radhostem means: under the Radhost mountain), so you don't need a car there for transportation at all, unless you would like to drive close to top of Radhost to Pustevny and take a mile hike to the famous statue of pagan god Radegast (an equally famous Czech beer is named after him).

There will be 4 lectors, and this will be serious fujara class concentrated on playing techniques, from beginner to advanced levels. 3 of the lectors are excellent fujara makers and players, I know all of them very well personally, and you might have some of their CDs: Lubomir Paricka & Dusan Holik from Slovakia, Vit Kasparik from Czech republic, and myself (USA). All participants will be divided into 4 groups, which will rotate hourly, so everybody will have time to spend with every lector. The lessons will be open to visitors, but only to watch. There is a maximum of 8 participants for each lector, so total number of participants can't be larger than 32.

The museum (VMP) have the registration form on the Czech version of their web side under name "Prihlaska", all foreign participants should register with me, so hurry up, unless you have do so already.

Roznov pod Radhostem is a favorite tourist destination, and if you wouldn't plan for a couple of extra days there, I'm sure you would regret to leave that place too soon, I recommend to either arrive early, or to stay a couple of days longer, there is a lot to see and enjoy around.
