Dear Fudan Alumni & Friends,After the three successful alumni tennis events from 2010 to 2012, we would like to hold the 4th alumni tennis party on Oct 19 (Saturday) 6:30—10:30pm, 2013 (indoor courts) at USTA center, home of US Open. We will have tennis tournament for Men’s, Women’s and Mixed Double. In addition, we will have a tennis workshop for kids and beginners. USTA professionals will be the coach for the workshop. Meanwhile we will invite alumni experts to give seminar on children education, wealth management or common legal matters. We encourage you to participate in this family oriented and kids-friendly party. The event is free, but please registers in advance for us to better organize.

Activities:
1.Kids / Beginners Workshop (6:30—10:30pm): USTA Professionals will teach kids / beginners. Please bring your own rackets and sneakers. One court will be dedicated for this.
2.Seminars on children education, wealth management and common legal matters
3.Tennis Tournament for adults (intermediate to advanced level) 6:30 -- 10:30 pm
1). Tracks: depends on participation, we will have 3 tracks: Doubles Only (Men / Women / Youth)
2). Play partner: You can bring your own partner (not necessary Fudan alumni), or we will try to arrange a partner prior to the event or onsite. Please indicate this in the registration below.
3). Basic rules :
a. Games go by round-robin (preferred) or elimination, depending on participation.
b. 8 points/game, whoever gets 8 points first wins the game, or the team get the highest score within the time limit (40minutes). No Advantage. The team who wins the most games is the champion.
c. Awards: each track 1st and 2nd winners will be awarded gold and silver trophy. Final detailed game rules are subject to change based on the registration and participation.
Cost:
Free,but donation is highly recommended for charity. This event is sponsored by Fudan School of Management in memory of its first dean Professor Shaolian Zheng.
Food & Drinks:
Please bring your own food for dinner or finish the dinner before joining the tennis party. You can only have your dinner in a restricted area in the stadium. The alumni association will bring bottled water and beverages to the indoor courts too.
Charity:
A donation of $25 per player or $50 per family will go to Fudan University Education Development Foundation for two projects. $10 per participant is also recommended for the tennis workshop. Please review the attached file for more details.
