Subject: [ChinaFinance] Invitation to the Chinese Finance Assoc Annual Symposium and Conf on Nov. 2-3 at NYU

On behalf of the Chinese Finance Association (TCFA), we cordially invite you to attend the Forth Annual TCFA Best Paper Symposium, that will be held in New York City on the afternoon of November 2, Saturday at Room 912, New York University's Kimmel Center.

Inaugurated four years ago as a separate academic event preceding the TCFA annual conference, the symposium this year features a keynote speech "The Predictability of Mutual Fund Returns" by New York University's (NYU) Stern School of Business Professor Martin Gruber (the Fellow and Past President of the American Finance Association), 6 award winning paper presentations, and a panel on “Academic Research and Careers in Finance in China" chaired by Professor Kose John of NYU Stern.  Panelists include Professors Henry Cao of CKGSB, Jennifer Carpenter of NYU Stern, Yuan Ding of CEIBS, Wei Jiang of Columbia University's Graduate School of Business, and Robert Whitelaw (Finance Department Chairman) of NYU Stern.

Please see the attached program for further details of the symposium.  There is no registration fee for the symposium itself and all interested people are welcome to attend the symposium. We encourage you to email Mr. Bingnan Wu (wbn...@gmail.com), the Best Paper program coordinator as early as possible due to space limit.

Also, please note that, although the Best Paper Symposium is part of the TCFA Annual Conference on Nov 2-3, registration for the full conference program (including the Best Paper symposium) is NOT FREE and has to be completed separately at http://tcfaglobal.org/index.php/en/events/details/108-19th-annual-tcfa-conference-2013.html .

For more information on the full conference program, please visit http://tcfaglobal.org/index.php/en/annual-conference/2013-conference/introduction.html .

Sincerely,
