URGENT: Florida's Terrible Pro-Fracking Bill Is Up for a Vote This Week
Tell Your State Representative to Vote 'NO'!

Will Your Representative Vote to Protect Florida?

Make Sure They Vote 'NO' on the Pro-Fracking Bill!

Dear Alison,

Urgent update: In the next few days, the bill to allow dirty fracking in Florida will get a vote in the state House of Representatives. On top of allowing fracking to move forward, this bill would also overturn more than 60 local resolutions supporting a ban on fracking — including measures protecting the Florida Everglades, an area the oil and gas industry would begin fracking first.

Urge your representative to stand up for Florida communities and vote 'NO' on the bad pro-fracking bill!

The oil and gas industry wants to pass this bill because it will start the process of drafting regulations on new unconventional fracking, prevent communities from taking local action to protect their residents, and provide exemptions for companies to avoid disclosing what chemicals they're using. Tell your state representative to protect Florida by voting against House Bill 191 and the fracking industry.

Experts have concluded that fracking is inherently unsafe. Across the country, regulations have resulted in contaminated drinking water, serious health impacts, earthquakes, flammable faucets, toxic spills, truck accidents and much more. And fracking keeps us on a path toward even more dramatic climate change — something our state simply cannot afford.

The oil and gas industry has been trying to open the Sunshine State up to fracking for years, and each time we've stopped them. Tell your representative: SAY 'NO' to fracking secrets and regulations that don't work — and 'YES' to a BAN on fracking.

Thanks for taking action,
