Scott Pruitt is trying to destroy the EPA while protecting corporate profits and lobbyists. Pruitt has to go!
Alison,
Can you believe that Scott Pruitt is still running the EPA?
He’s single-handedly trying to destroy the EPA, and there are multiple ethics investigations and Congressional hearings on his behavior. But Scott Pruitt still has his hands on the wheel.
We won't be satisfied until he's gone. Today we're keeping the pressure up to remove him and to rebuild the agency to protect our food and water.
Pruitt has to go, and he has to go NOW.
It is unbelievable and unacceptable that Scott Pruitt is still the head of the EPA. In his time there, Pruitt has rolled back or stopped enforcement of regulations that keep our food and water safe.1
At the same time, he's continued to reward his cronies while spending hundreds of thousands of dollars of taxpayer money for his own benefit.
Here's more proof of the danger Pruitt poses: While Pruitt was attorney general in Oklahoma, he let chicken factory farms off the hook.
Pruitt slow-rolled a court case on chicken waste polluting the Illinois River. Big corporate food conglomerates, such as Tyson Foods, Cargill and Simmons Foods, would have had to pay to clean up dangerous pollution from their factory farms.2
The case has dragged on for years without resolution, and Scott Pruitt let it languish. Maybe that's because about 4 percent of Pruitt's campaign funds for his attorney general run came from sources connected to the chicken industry.3
It's long past time for Scott Pruitt to go.
Any of Scott Pruitt's shocking ethics violations — the first-class plane flights overseas for no purpose, the house he rented from a lobbyist for $50 a night, the $43,000 phone booth — would be a fireable offense on their own.
But together, and when combined with his agenda to stop the EPA from protecting our water and our environment, it's clear that Scott Pruitt is not only corrupt — he's dangerous.
Stand with Food & Water Action and let Pruitt know: this party's over.
Thanks for taking action,
