Hey gang!

I've been loving seeing the farm updates from everyone!! I also miss you kids- it feels strange to not have you all along side me as I dig in the dirt. I can't believe just a year ago we were just young(ish) whipper-snappers beginning our foray into farming.

I know what kind of farm-y things Todd, Hadley, Molly, Rachel, Cristy, Graham, Mike Good, Jason and Caitlin,  Tara, and of course Drew and Julia are up to, but what about the rest of you guys?? Fill us in por favor. And more importantly, are the goats of the Hort farm - i mean Catamount farm still alive??

I'm the farm manager for a small organic farm in Newburgh, NY on the Hudson River this season (please feel free to visit btw- i have room for guests). If any of you are looking, we're also looking for some WOOFERs. We have someone for August -Sep, but looking for someone now-ish through end of July. If you know anyone looking, feel free to pass their info along! Housing included and you'd get free veggies, eggs, honey to boot.

here's a link to the farm:

ps Laura you have no idea how much I remember your words of wisdom...like Obi Wan over my shoulder in the greenhouse telling me "water like a gentle spring rain".....

sorry for the rambling email.
miss you guys
xoxo

Hey all,

Kate, the farm looks awesome!  Congrats on that gig.  Is Facebook the avenue for seeing stuff that people do?  Man, I should just take the plunge. Well, I'm with Kate, I'd love to hear about what everyone is up to (I know some but not all).  I wanted to pass along my first foray into the world of blogging.  I'd love it if you checked my site out, gave me feedback, sang my praises, laughed, whatever.  Here's the link and for those of you who are more techie than me, any words of wisdom would be much appreciated.

Other than that, I've been dreaming of a long trip after the season, considering living in a pop-up camper this summer, getting to know Montpelier, having some interesting and at times strange experiences in the world of dating, teaching yoga, starting a garden for the homestead I work at, and dreaming of big, fat tomatoes and a hoop house full of thriving plants.  If anyone is up this way please visit - the camper I'm looking at sleeps 4 adults and some kids too (small adults qualify).  Just saying.

Ryan

What about others?

Guys,

Ryan, I'm sorry about your dead ones, and the greenhouse is looking sharp.

Kate, that sounds awesome!

It's crazy. In two days it will be 1 year since we all met.

I'm staying in Mtl for the summer and got this job installing organic vegetable gardens for clients of Urban Seedlings. Edible landscaping? The company is only in their 4th year and have hundreds of gardens across the Island!

Hope everyone is doing well, and maybe some catching up in northern Vermontish area over the summer? Swim sesh at the lake?

Craig
