Hey Everyone!

I hope all you guys are doing amazing and looking forward to spring.  I am in the midst of planning the season right now which means I pretty much wear sweatpants everyday, smell like I've been farming but really have only been sitting on the couch, and am surrounded by a mad scientist amount of papers, scribblings, and catalogues.  I am surprised this is happening already.

Anyway, I have a question for everyone about melons.  I am planning on growing melons this year and I remember distinctly that we had oodles of them to the point where we didn't even like them anymore.  The thing I can't remember is which varieties people liked, which ones were really tasty, which ones were just ok, etc.  Of the varieties we grew, cantaloupes (halona, athena, sweet granite), and others (lambkin, sun jewel, brilliant), any info would be great as my memory is just terrible. Also any info on the watermelons would be great too (crimson sweet and sugar baby).  I remember the sugar babies being smaller and delicious.

Laura, Drew, and Julia if there were any that you guys grew last year and liked let me know and Laura if you have any personal favs I'd love to hear them as well.

And hopefully this might serve as a catch up too - I'd love to hear what you all are doing.  And sorry I don't have facebook if all that info is on it.  I hope everyone is doing great.

Ryan

Hey Ryan,

I believe we already covered this on our 'FTP Thoughts About Melons' Facebook page. I'll refer you there.

Jk. I'm out of town now but I just wanted to make a Facebook joke. I'll get after it soon.

Love,
Andrew John
