San Diego: decisions, decisions

Morning all,

 

Just wanted to summarize the information we have ressearched and discussed so far to help in our decision making:

 

Dates: It appears the best travel dates would be Friday, May 3rd - Tuesday, May 7th (5 days/4nights)

Flights: Based on these dates, I found a flight today for $320 (leaving DTW)

Housing: The majority did choose the house (5 vs 4). Here are the pros and cons from what I have gathered

 

Hotel

• Individual space/privacy
• Flexible dates
• Possible flight/hotel discount
• Amenties of the hotel: pool, access to excursions, etc...
• Couple based pricing
• Food costs will be higher

Home

• Space, space, and more space
• Opportunity to cook (save money on food)
• Group based pricing (if someone cancels, we have to make up their costs)
• Not so flexible dates, based on the houses availability. However, I've checked using the above dates and there are plenty of options, some very affordable

Here's what I need to know from EVERYONE:

• Do these new dates work? (for some reason, I don't think this works for Terri). If these dates do not work, I am unavailable the following weekend and we would be looking at 5/17 or after.
• Nakia, it seems that you are pretty firm about staying at a hotel. Is this correct?
• If so, are we okay with being split?
• Jacksons, are you able to confirm your attendance?
