Thanks for taking the lead and looking these up Nakia!
I like the Jamaica option. It seems like we can watch for trips there
and find it for less. Key West is technically the same as Jamaica in
terms of price bc Jamaica is all inclusive. If we stay local, I'm down
with a much less expensive route like San Diego. So for this proposal,
my vote is 1. Jamaica 2. San Diego (lesser cost option).

Soooo I did a little research. And the prices for the places are as follows:
1. Jamaica: For a good 5 star hotel, with all inclusive, the lowest I
could find was 912. Of course that is flying out of DFW, so it may be
cheaper or more depending on your airport--since everyone decided to be
grown an up and move from Detroit. The name of the resort is the RItz
Carlton Rose Hall. Go check it out. And of course, its Jamaica, I have
been, I love it, cant wait to go back--but this is a little bit outside of
the budget.
2. Florida Keys: I have never been--but everyone tells me that it is
really nice. The cheapest 5 star was Key West Marriot Beachside Resort.
It sits on 7 acres of land off of the Gulf of Mexico (I sure hope its
cleaned up by now). It is going to cost 765.98 per person. (Could be more
or less depending on flight)
3. I did some research and added a possible destination. San Diego. There
is a resort that sits on 44 acres of private land--and it looks absolutely
beatuiful. It is called Paradise Point Resort and Spa. It is 606per person.
There was also a 4 star in San Diego for 393 per person called Catamaran
Resort and Spa. (Could be more or less depending on flight.)
As far as the flight goes, if Spirit operates in your town, then your
flight is going to be cheaper---if they dont, then you have to use another
airline and your fight is going to be more.
I suggest taking a look at the three resorts and deciding which resort and
price point works.
