Greetings to all of our Tuesday Newsletter Subscribers and Readers!

Hope that your school year is going very well.
We have just completed our last Pre-Season Event (October 20th) and are readying for the first official Meets (on October 26th and 27th).
This week's Newsletter will be sent on Wednesday morning, rather than Tuesday night. Watch for it.

The small delay is due to the flurry of Meet start-up activity, but will also a allow a few more pieces of news to gel.
Among those news items is the STEM Girls Initiative Teams meeting that is happening at 7:30 this evening.

Along those lines, we want to make one more appeal for team member, coach/mentor, and interested party input on the "Tech Talk Survey".
Below is the request that first appeared in the October 8th Newsletter... and was requested again last week.

The response has been somewhat underwhelming. It could take less that 3-5 minutes to rate the topics in accordance with interest.
We would think that all team members and coaches can invest a few minutes ...particularly those coaches who have STEM Girls on their team.

Any input that can be provided now (before the Team's 7:30 meeting tonight) would be much appreciated by the girls.
The link is given again, below
    Thanks

Tech Talks 2024!

Empower Initiative Team

·         The Empower Team met on October 3rd and is already hard at work on their first topic – Intake Systems.

·         As reported last week, the team is very interested in gathering community input. What would be most beneficial for your team?

·         For instance, is there more interest in pulling game elements from the floor vs picking them up with a grasper?

·         That, and other ten other topic thoughts are being collected via the Empower Team’s “Tech Talk Topic Survey”.

·         Among possible topics – Drivetrains, Odometry, Vision, Climbing Mechanisms … and basic topics (e.g., Gears, Chains, Motors, Servos)

·         The team would really appreciate input from coaches, mentors, and team members. Can you take a moment to help them out?

·          Here’s the Survey Link. It won’t take long.

·          All are invited to weigh inhttps://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdARTZNO3YVyb4wwtQcLH2qLCztZQYJvkyx-lQeJZuez1Xk5A/viewform
