Plusdreams:
What stops coders from creating an audio middleware that could be playing audio over five devices?
That could mean, not even buying any new speakers anymore, but instead connecting all my old speakers simultaneously.
Im wearing hearing aids, which I connect via BT to my FP3. The HAs put the sound in my ears like any audio plug, too and at the same time the HAs are using their own microfone to record my speach.
But here is actually the problem:
If I connect the HAs to the FP3, this is the only connection. There is no way to use the HAs only for hearing and at the same time to connect another microfone for speaking.
This is ok in a very quiet environment but as soon you are on the street, at work or in a bar nobody can understand you anymore since the microfones of the HAs are always focussed in front of you (of course, since they are made to record sounds like that).
This is actually bothering me for years now. I dont have that problem on my computer since its very easy to decide myself in the (Windows) audio settings which hardware I want to use for sound in and which for sound out.
@Tablets6lite: I had a look into this, and Dual Audio may be available on the Tab S6 Lite, as it features Bluetooth 5.0. To check, head to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Advanced > Dual Audio. If it's not there, you may wish to check out Settings > Sounds and Vibration > Separate App Sound. This isn't quite the same, but does allow you to play sound from a selected app on a different audio device.
Samsung Galaxy S6 Lite with Android 10 does not have Dual Audio. I have the device and the options just are not there. Yet another let down with this tablet and with Android. Bought it as a mediapad for my girls for car trips and such yet due to Samsung they're forced to get tangled with wires with their wireless headphones (luckily I chose headphones with both BT and cable connection). I bet the option is there only on more expensive models - Samsung ain't gettin' any more of my currencies.
Now, i've created a button in the main menu to reproduce the 3 videos with either one or another audio tracks; the buttons have the option selected to play the titleset with either track 1 or 2. and one of them with the subtitles "on" by default and the other with "off".
If you put buttons to select tracks in VMGM menus, you need to put them in titleset menus.
When we select both "Audio:" "track X" and "Video:" "track X" in one button, DVDStyler seems to ignore "Audio:" "track X".
If you have an Apple CarPlay receiver, you know the joys of accessing your favorite iPhone apps while driving. While basic features like making phone calls, getting directions, and streaming music are helpful, CarPlay offers several other ways to enhance your driving experience. Here are some secret hacks for getting the most out of your Apple CarPlay receiver.
CarPlay allows you to split your screen between two to three apps at a time. You can have driving directions in one window, control music in another and view your upcoming meetings from your calendar at the same time. Just tap the widget icon in the bottom left corner to open split-screen mode while your phone is connected.
If you have lots of appointments scheduled for the day, you can easily keep up with your calendar via Apple CarPlay. The OS provides a multiview option to show any upcoming meetings directly from your calendar. You can tap on an entry to view more information, and even start a call for your meeting if a phone number is attached to the event.
The default color scheme of CarPlay is dark mode but can easily be switched to light mode. You can either change the settings to adjust the background color automatically between day and nighttime driving or change it manually.
If you hear a certain song you like and want to keep playing similar music, Apple Music will allow you to do just that. From the Now Playing app, tap the three-dot menu to create your own radio station. The Now Playing app will also show you full details on whatever audio is currently playing. If you have another audio app open, click the audio graph icon in the upper-right corner to access Now Playing, or open it from the home screen.
When using VLC media player to convert a video with multiple audio tracks into another format (that may support only one audio track) using only one audio track, how do I select the audio track that is converted? VLC defaults to the first audio track.
Specifically: I have a MKV video with two language audio tracks and I want to convert the video and the second audio track to DivX format using AVI as container. VLC however converts only the first audio track and I did not find an option for selecting another track. I also tried switching the audio track manually while conversion is under way but the audio track is silent from that point on in the outputted file.Maybe there is an MRL option to select the audio track?
I am aware that one could use other tools like MKVToolNix to remove the undesired audio track(s) and then convert the file in VLC. However I wonder what the solution within VLC is - or whether one exists.
Another way is that you watch the video normally on your screen and capture it using something like "camtasia" which is a software that can record your screen and audio. Some people use it to create Video Tutorials. is the official page. I recomend this one because it's the one I've used but there's plenty of software available.
I'm facing an issue with exporting video from Logic Pro and compressing it in Handbrake. I want to include both the original video audio and Logic Pro audio, which I am able to do successfully straight from Logic. However, when I compress the video using Handbrake, it only keeps the first audio track (by default, the original video audio) and omits the second one (the music audio).
Your setup looks similar to the file I tested this with (except that I have my PCM audio on the second track, don't think that would change anything though).
It does work for me still. When I check the re-encoded movie file in VLC I see my two audio tracks there:
I may've misunderstood your solution to mean both tracks should be heard simultaneously when the video is played (as is the case for the video file exported straight from Logic). Forgive me for the slow catch-up. Are you saying this dual audio track playback isn't possible at all with Handbrake? Or is my export just buggy despite our similar setups?
It is important that I can compress my file sizes for clients while making it easy for them to hear both video and music audio right away. Again, I understand the option to import the video audio straight into the Logic session, but I'd rather avoid this because of the monstrous increase in file size this does to Logic projects.
It seems QuickTime is happy to play multiple audio tracks simultaneously as long as the container format is QuickTime movie (.mov). Others players that I have won't do the same with QuickTime movie (or other formats)
So the solution to this is to overwrite the movie's original audio track with a mix of that original audio and your score so that you end up with a movie with one video track and one audio track.
I would be open to importing the video audio to the Logic session if it didn't create an audio file with a huge file size every time. When we import video, Logic is able to link to an existing video file without recreating the (large) file for the session. Is this not possible with the video audio by itself?
Other handbrake users have already requested muxing (multiplexing) to be added as a feature. Maybe you can voice your wish to the Handbrake developers here:
Allow muxing of multiple audio tracks into one #4608
I'm super frustrated- how the heck do you get support for Zoom?? It's telling me when i hit download on my recording that the separate audio tracks will download in the list- where the heck is the list?? I don't see it anywhere- I'm doing 4 interviews for my podcast and I can't even upgrade my subscription to get someone on a CHAT to help me. So frustrated and wish this wasn't the platform I paid for but I did and now I don't know how to get the separate audio tracks and on a deadline. It wouldn't even let me upgrade to talk to someone. 16 minutes before recording. Thanks Zoom- this is terrible support!
NOTE: I have helped several of my users who had an audio transcription, but for one reason or another the transcription failed, if this happens you will see a message next to the Audio Transcript that says:
Just wondering. I just bought a Daisy Seed not knowing that the Patch had that sort of functionality. The project I intend to make with the Seed is not eurorack, but I was going to add an extra audio output/input using SPI before seeing that.
The MCU used by Daisy Seed has several available SAI (serial audio interface) peripherals used for connecting audio codecs. One is connected to the onboard codec, another is available for connecting extrernal codecs like on Patch.
Aka daisy chain. Many cheap bluetooth speakers can do this so it would be disappointing if the Roam can't. I do know that two Roams will not do stereo in bluetooth but I can't seem to find anywhere if it even supports two Roams or more in mono.
