I have a Compaq C770 notebook PC. Since I have started using Ubuntu
problem arised with my modem...I couldnt connect to internet through
Dial up. I tried jvdial,wvdial....
But still the helll!!!!. Help me...
My modem is Connexent HDA Softmodem ....

Is it recognised on boot up
Open a terminal and type dmesg
See if it is listed there.
Or try lspci on command line and see if it is there
