关于向灾区捐款的提议

各位热心参与向灾区捐款的学生学者：

大家好！由于本人将于本周五前往中国驻休士顿领事馆参加南部地区学生会会议，届时可将捐款通过总领馆转交“中国教育发展基金会”，用于救助灾区学生和校
园重建，在会上举行一个小型仪式，接受捐赠。

我提议可将截止至本周三（五月二十一日）的捐款以此方式捐助，由于此捐款完全是以tallahassee 华人，学生，学者的名义捐助，所以对于资金的

其实我觉得直接向四川红十字捐款会比较好，毕竟是灾区，责任感会强一些。
按照以前的情况，款项一级一级下去被会被截留。
目前，中央虽然表示会严惩贪污、挪用等行为，但还是经过越少手越好。

也可以捐给OSCCF, Overseas, Save the Chinese Children Foundation, http://www.osccf.org/
 捐给他们的钱100%的给灾区，没有截流，工作人员全部是志愿者，他们现在就在地震灾区，把买到的救灾物资直接送到灾民手里。
钱的使用效率比较高。

目前她们要做的工作：
1、登记统计孤儿人数，协助当地部门安置。
2、重症儿童。根据实际情况，如果有条件会向后方转移。
3、尽最大努力与灾区的福利院联系并提供帮助。
北京时间5月14日晚上8点左右，志愿者们带着十几箱医疗用品和六货车圣元通过中国红十字会捐助的奶粉直奔都江堰,,连夜发放物资及探查孤儿。同时，绵阳妇幼保健院，中心医院求助也向志愿者发来了求助信息，当地的婴儿急需奶粉。
一个不敢相信的事实：这是第一批给孩子们送奶粉的，来得太应该了，真是早就该来！
志愿者们一进入都江堰，就能感觉到很刺鼻的味道，他们都带着16层医用口罩。现在急需要医疗用品（消炎药、拉肚子药、绷带、加厚口罩、外敷药）。
志愿者在发回来的信息中说：都江堰市大部分街道都黑了，我们刚看见几十个人围着一辆车抢方便面，在吵，要打起来了！物资远远不够，远远不够，全国的捐款需要尽快变成物资！

I don't like the way that they raised funds. Nowadays, there are so many fake stories coming out from the quake area. With a little bit consciousness, you can easily tell which is true and which is forged. I am so sad to see this catastrophe and I am also sad to see people believe and propagate everything from web without a serious scrutiny. What the victims need are a decisive action and a better social security system, cheap tears help them nothing at all.  

Our donation should go to the Chinese gov. They are not perfect, but I believe they will keep everything clear as crystal this time.

啊？！很多人都给他们捐了款，而且www.huaren.us上还在组团通过他们寄紧缺物资给灾区。
很佩服你求真的态度，亲自打电话验证，我只是看网上很多人推荐OSCCF。
如果你发现OSCCF 可疑的话，请说一下疑点。
如果能证明是真的欺骗的话，他们已经欺骗了很多人，应该在网上提醒其他的华人同胞不要受骗。
但是如果还没有证据，就说lier好像也不是很严谨吧.....

I totally agree with you.
One can find out that they made up stories without doing any investigations, just from their webpages. But some persons do believe them.
 
I sent an email to a person saying that OSCCF is cheating the day before yesterday and point out one fake they made. I received an email yesterday telling me to do research before I make conclusions. Then I found out they changed their webpage so that their sayings on that point are consistant. But there are still many fakes on this page

I called the lady because I want to know what they will say this time. Also I could tell the person that I had done some investigations.
 
At this stage, I support your suggestion that our donation should go directly to P.R.C government.

Have NOT I given the link to the article on MITBBS? The contents in that article are originally from their web page. But some of the contents (for example, May 15's information, are part of May 14's information ) are no longer on their web page. That means the stories that their volunteers  were  at  the disaster area are not true. They wrote those fake stories from their mind, later, others questioned them, they were not able to answer the questions because they did not have volunteers in the scene those days, and even they had, the volunteers in that situation was not able to send out information (they were busy with saving lives, some of the persons in the scene did not sleep for 30 hours, no one had time, and also the communication system was being fixed, repaired, did not work well, even one could send out a message, it must be a very short one), then they deleted. If you have read those two articles (one is from mitbbs, the other is their web page, I had given these two links in my first post when I said they are lied. I had given the evidence, why you just can not understand me), you can find out that.

I called the number because I was questioned by others, I should find out whether the contents of the mitbbs article are originally from their web page. I got proved.

If you can not understand, send me your telephone number, I will explain that to you. I am a little tired with you.
