本周日电影专场中几部电影的英文介绍: [CSSA] Re: 通知：本周日（10月24日）下午HCB华语电影专场

电影活动消息发出后，有好几个同学说想邀请美国同学或其他国家朋友一起来看电影，问有没有这几部电影的英文介绍，经过和CAT主席Ji Feng商量现将这几部电影的英文介绍和电影活动的英文通知附上，另外这几部电影均有中文和英文字幕，外国同学也完全可以看。其中《十月围城》和《唐山大地震》二部电影是蓝光(Blue Ray DVD)版本，图像和声音很清楚。而且华人协会还免费提供一些饮料和点心食品等供大家品尝。所以邀请美国或其他国家同学和朋友一起欣赏中国最新电影的确是个不错机会。

另外塔城的北佛罗里达华人协会(NFCA)，塔城台湾华人协会(TTA)，塔城亚洲协会(ACT)已经将电影活动消息转发给了他们会员，FSU CLCA, ASU等组织也将把活动转发给他们会员。所以这次也是和华人协会（CAT) 朋友以及其他组织会员交流的一个机会。

 

The Chinese Association of Tallahassee(CAT) will have  a Chinese Movie Event on Sunday, Oct. 24th, starting from 4:00 pm, at HCB 101, on FSU campus.
All three movies are with both English and Chinese subtitle.  
 
We will provide water, Lemon drink and Chinese snack food during the movie show for free.  The movie show is free admission.

Synopsis/ Plot
Zhang Yimou's highly anticipated film, which is adapted from a popular novel of the same name from Ai Mi, harkens back to the innocence of the 1970's in presenting this pure and moving tear jerking love story, set in 1975 in a small village in Yichang City, Hubei Province. The story is of an unfulfilled romance between Jingqiu and a young man named Laosan during their “zhiqing” days towards the end of the Cultural Revolution (1966-76). Zhiqing refers to young urbanites who were sent to the countryside during that turbulent decade. Jingqiu, who had had a difficult life after her father was labeled a right-winger, met the handsome Laosan, who had a promising future because of his high-ranking military officer father. The couple fall in love, despite the gulf between their backgrounds. The only question remains is if their romance ever become fulfilled.
 
2) Bodyguards and Assassins .《十月围城》
Bodyguards and Assassins is a 2009 Hong Kong martial arts action drama film directed by Teddy Chan. It featured an all-star cast, including Donnie Yen, Nicholas Tse, Tony Leung Ka-fai, Leon Lai, Wang Xueqi, Simon Yam, Hu Jun, Eric Tsang and Fan Bingbing.
 
Plot:   
In 1905, Sun Wen intends to come to Hong Kong (then a British colony) to discuss his plans for revolution with fellow Tongmenghui members to overthrow the corrupt and crumbling Qing Dynasty. Empress Dowager Cixi sends a group of assassins, led by Yan Xiaoguo, to kill Sun. Revolutionary Chen Shaobai arrives in Hong Kong a few days before Sun's arrival, to meet Li Yutang, a businessman who provides financial aid for the revolutionaries. As Sun Wen's arrival day draws near, trouble begins brewing in Hong Kong as Chen Shaobai's acquaintances are murdered and Chen himself is kidnapped by the assassins during a raid. Li Yutang decides to officially declare his support for the revolutionaries after the newspaper agency is closed by the British authorities, who do not interfere in China's political situation. Li rallies a group of men, including rickshaw pullers, hawkers and a beggar, to serve as bodyguards for Sun Wen when he arrives. Li's son Li Chongguang is chosen to act as a decoy for Sun Wen to divert the assassins away while Sun attends the meeting and leaves Hong Kong safely.

TORONTO, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- "Aftershock," the so-called tearjerker movie from Chinese director Feng Xiaogang, moved many movie-goers to tears at its North America Premiere during the 35th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on Friday.
"It was a very powerful movie. The movie reminds us of a painful period in China," Cameron Bailey, TIFF's co-director, told more than 1,000 viewers at a fully-packed Elgin Theater in downtown Toronto.
Inspired by the novel of the same name by Chinese Canadian author Zhang Ling, "Aftershock" explores the resilience of a family devastated by the 1976 Tangshan earthquake that claimed more than 240,000 lives.
The movie depicts a family reunion after the mother has to make a heart-breaking choice during the earthquake. With her two twin children pinned under the same concrete slab, she can only save one of them. This tragic situation is central to the rest of the story, ...........

这次电影活动塔城华人协会(CAT)委托我筹备这几部电影的片源，今天也和CAT主席Ji Feng联系过，现将这几部电影的片源情况简单说一下，供参考：

1.  《山楂树之恋》（英文名：Under The Hawthorn Tree)   是高清版，110分钟，带中文和英文字幕

该片刚刚在上个月9月15号才在中国国内公演，由张艺谋导演；电影在国内比较红火。

3. 本次电影活动的备用片为国内不久前刚刚上演的《唐山大地震》，电影上座率也非常高，由于有一些 人也希望看这部电影，所以今天和CAT主席Ji Feng商量后，打算在《十月围城》电影放映后，如果确有一定数量的观众想看《唐山大地震》的话，就准备在8:15-10:30pm时间段放映该片（《唐山大地震》）；

《唐山大地震》（英文名：Tang Shan Earthquake 或 After Shock)  片源是高清版，带中文和英文字幕；139分钟，2010年7月22日在国内正式公演，由冯小刚导演。

另外没有车的同学星期天下午12：00-6：00pm,从Alumni Village到FSU 主校园可以坐31路公共汽车，31路汽车经过AV时间大概是从中午12：05pm开始，以后每隔40分钟一班。在St.Augustine路口下，走路5分钟左右可以到放映电影的地方HCB101.  电影结束后，一些没有车的同学可以乘坐其他有车的同学一起回去。 这个应该不用担心。另外电影中间（6点多以后）华人协会将提供饮料和一些点心和食品供大家品尝。电影和食品均是免费。

 

电影放映时间安排： 2010年10月24号星期天下午4点开始在 FSU HCB101

1） 4：00-6：00pm 《山楂树之恋》（Under.the.hawthorn.tree）

2） 6：15--8：15 《十月围城》（Bodyguards and Assassins ）
