CHANGES: Ice Show Jr. Board Volunteering!!

Hi FSH Junior Board,

 

As you have probably read, due to the extremely warm temperatures, we’ve had to move our Ice Show from Riverbank State Park to an indoor rink. We will host one show this Saturday from 6:30pm - 8pm at the World Ice Arena in Flushing, Queens. 

 

If ANY of you can volunteer on Saturday, PLEASE email me!! All volunteers should arrive at World Ice Arena at 4:30pm. Even if you have already let me know you can volunteer, PLEASE EMAIL ME AGAIN so I can give you a new placement. (Please note, there is NO Sunday show if you were planning to volunteer then.)

 

I have attached directions for you here. Please note that the 7 train is NOT running between Times Square and Queensboro Plaza this weekend.  Instead, just take the N to Queensboro Plaza and switch to the 7 OR take the E, F, M or R to 74^th St/Roosevelt Ave and switch to the 7. I apologize for any inconvenience.

 

Also, our skating has ended for the season, but we do have an end of the season Awards Ceremony for the girls where we celebrate their achievements with FSH on and off the ice. You are welcome to attend and join the girls. It will be held this year on Friday, May 4^th at 7pm at the Riverside Church. Let me know if you’d like to attend.

Hope you are all staying dry! I wanted to reach out to you as our 15th Anniversary Ice Show: Puttin' On the Hits, is approaching in March. Last year we had some amazing Junior Board members help out and volunteer at the shows (ushering, checking in VIPs, etc.) and we could really use your help again.

 

The shows are at Riverbank State Park on:

Saturday, March 24 @ 7pm (volunteer arrival time: 5:30pm)

Sunday, March 25 @ 3pm (volunteer arrival time: 1:30pm)

 

Please send me an email back and let me know which show(s) you can volunteer at! If you know any friends who are interested in helping those days, please let me know as well.

Lena, I am not going to be able to make it given the time and location change. The riverbank rink is near my house so it would have worked. I have an event for school during the day and the timing doesn't work out. I seem to be having bad luck lately with helping out :-/
