Some incidental migratory shorebird sightings this week while I’ve been doing my regular beach-nesting bird surveys.

Monday: 2 Ruddy Turnstones at Haycock Beach
Tuesday: Pacific Golden Plover and Bar-tailed Godwit hanging out together at Disaster Bay. Also received a photo from John W of 3 Red Knots in Merimbula Lake.
Wednesday: 6 Pacific Golden Plovers at Bithry Inlet
Thursday: (not shorebirds) at least 6 Little and/or Fairy Terns near Bird Island at Wallagoot Lake

Also, last week (Tues 17 Oct) 4 Eastern Curlews near the Lake Curalo entrance at Eden.

Sorry, no photos. (I travel light on my beach surveys :)
