Options for clearing debarred courses

All students of GU are hereby intimated that there are two options to clear the courses in which they are debarred.

Option 1: DEBARRED STUDENTS TO ATTEND CLASSES IN THE REGULAR SEMESTER

Students may skip the summer semester for clearing the courses in which they are debarred. Students will register for the debarred courses in the regular semester that will run in next academic year with the junior batch of students provided free slots are available in their current semesters and course is also offered in that free slots. For example, for the debarred courses of 1st, 3rd 5th, 7th and 9th semesters of academic year 2016-17, a student may register debarred courses in 3rd, 5th, 7th and 9th semesters of academic year 2017-18, respectively, along with the regular junior students. The course registration will be facilitated in the month of July. Similarly, for the debarred courses of 2^st, 4^rd 6^th and 8^th semesters of academic year 2016-17 , a student can register for the debarred course(s) in 4^rd, 6^th, 7^th and 10^thsemesters of academic year 2017-18 . The course registration will be facilitated in the month of December. Students will have to meet the attendance criteria of university to be eligible to appear in the examination. The students will need to pay only the examination fees for each debarred course (is 500/- per course). Their examination will be held along with end term examination of regular students.

Option 2: SUMMER SEMESTER FOR DEBARRED STUDENTS

Interested students may register for the debarred courses in summer semester which will be run during the summer vacation. Detailed academic calendar is published every year in the month of May. A student has to pay the requisite tuition fees for each course in addition to examination fees. Currently a registration fees of Rs. 1800 per course and examination fees of Rs. 500 per course (total Rs. 2300/- per course) is charged irrespective of the semester in which their courses of debar falls.
