Can you please forward to your sailors
Howdy all,
Congratulations to all those sailors that went to RPYC Mini Series over the weekend. A special well done to those that competed in their first regatta or tried a different class of boat. It was a fun weekend with many good individual results. Also it was good to see so many FSC sailors and volunteers.
At time of writing there was no official results but I will send them out as they become available.
Week 2 of teams racing saw us at SOPYC. Well done to the team on their winning efforts. A big thank you to Ben Walkemeyer, Mark Wittington, Matthew Jerwood and Luke Parkinson's for their successful coaching and umpiring input. Coaching for teams racing will continue this Thursday at 4pm
This Friday we are at home hosting our good friends from Shelley. If you can not make it please drop me an email so I can keep track. All sailors are welcome to come along.
Saturday morning sailors are missing out on valuable training time, please be on the shore rigged up, sun screened up, hat on and ready to go at 845am.We welcome Matthew Jerwood as the optimist gold coach. Many sailors would know Matthew from bronze or silver. This is great as he will know your level of sailing and will ensure a smooth transition between fleets and promote your individual talents.
The T Shirts from the Tool Time design a T Shirt competition are almost at order stage (just finalising the art work) more on that next week.
Only 2 weekends before most of our sailing group head to their respective state titles. Let's use these weekends to get in some good sessions.State Championships March 3rd – 5th
SOPYC hosting all lasers
FSC hosting 420
HYC hosting optimists BRONZE, SILVER AND GOLD. All FSC optimist sailors should consider attending, for Bronze fleet HYC will provide the boats.
Please note there will be NO training or racing except for those competing in the 420 states at FSC that weekend.
Boats and Equipment: the bosuns are working very hard on repairing equipment and organising the sheds and compounds. Please put your boats and all equipment away in your allocated spot.As mentioned in previous roundups – FSC is a sailing club, not a community storage area.
If you have paid for your boat’s storage then ensure it is neatly put away.
All other items must be removed.
There are recreational boards in the shed. Please take them home..
There are trailers in the car park. Please take your trailers home.
Committee meeting on Tuesday 14th February 1930 at the dinghy club house, this is not a closed meeting all members are welcome
Thank you
Keith Charlwood
