Hi Guys,

Can you please forward to your sailors.

Hi everyone,

Please accept my apologies for  the delay in this week round up, I have been waiting/looking  for the results from the Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club ICR

I’ve had a bit of a man look through  the freshie web pages but  I can’t find him.

So to avoid missing out naming somebody, I would simply like to thank all those FSC sailors who had an amazing time on the river, met new friends and possibly thrashed the pants of them, I hope you had an enjoyable experience – maybe we can get a report from the various section representatives for the next round up.

Some of you may have noticed that on 10th December Perth 2011 is holding a “Build a boat in a day” competition, this is where a team manager and 2 crew build a boat out of materials supplied (using hand tools only) then the 2 crew sail/paddle this boat a short way out to a mark and back in Fishermans Harbour  (must sail one leg) – the winning team will earn prestige, accolades oh and  $1500 for their club.

FSC s “Build a boat in a day” Team manager  (Fred’s dad) Igor Bjorksten and Crew No 1 Fred Bjorksten are looking for crew number 2  - if you are under 14 years of age and would like to be involved in this fantastic event please contact myself  on 0400888943 or Igor on 0419755878 – We will not be able to enter a team without crew number 2.

For the rest of our families it would be great to have the whole of “Team Freo” down there to provide encouragement and be part of the fun.

For those who have expressed  interested in sailing at Jervoise Bay Sailing Club on the next three weekends the proposal is that we will tow the optimists  and 4.7 lasers down on Saturday morning departing FSC somewhere around 830am, after training - leave the optimists and laser at JBSC for the duration but return the Ribs/dinghys each week to freo at about noon .

To date we have the 2 small FSC ribs, Justin’s 5.6m Rib, my alum 5m runabout,  Mr Featherstone’s alum dinghy and Mr Brand’s Plaka we will need crew for all these vessels

Please note that at this stage I am still waiting for final acceptance of our proposal from Jervoise Bay Committee (it is unlikely that plans will change,  but I will let you know as soon as possible if they do)

Good Night

Keith Charlwood.

Dinghy Captain
