Free groundnuts, sunchokes and Chinese mountain yams. Enough to eat now and to plant for your own crop next year. You harvest. But not too difficult as growing in well-tended community garden plots. Just west of Durham.

These are tasty perennial vegetables best grown in their own space. Will compete with annual vegetables. Groundnuts are vining legumes with edible tubers and seed pods. This variety produces tubers about 2' in diameter. They taste something like a potato but are much more nutritious.

Sunchokes, also known as Jerusalem artichokes, produce edible tubers that can be eaten raw or cooked. They have a nice crunch and mild flavor. They have a low glycemic index so good for diabetics.

Chinese mountain yams produce large vines. Both the tuber and numerous little "bulbils" produced on the vines are edible.

Do you still have any of these available?
Thanks,

I have some sunchokes tubers in my refrigerator that have sprouted. You are welcome to those. About 20.
