Hello Frozen Perl attendees and speakers,

I have a few topics to let you all know about here, I look forward to
seeing all of you next weekend

First is the call for lightning talk speakers: This year we will be
holding a Lightning Talks session, and if you have never talked at a
perl workshop a lightning talk is the perfect opportunity to start.
Lightning talks are very short presentations (limited to 5 minutes by
gong). They may be on any topic of likely interest to the attendees
(as judged by the organizer). They tend to work best when focused on
a single, relatively small topic. Slides are allowed but not
required. You can find more information on lightning talks here
http://perl.plover.com/lightning-talks.html

Where to Park for Frozen Perl? There is a pay lot attached to the
McNamara Alumni Center by an underground tunnel. You can enter the
lot on University Ave just East of the building. There is also a
surface lot (the Maroon lot) that is a few blocks away that will
offer cheaper parking than the parking ramp. For more info see the
google map linked from the wiki : http://www.frozen-perl.org/mpw2009/
wiki?node=FAQ

If you would like wireless internet access during the class, workshop
or hackathon, you will either need to be a current University
Staff, Student or Faculty, or you will need to purchase a $3
Wireless Access from http://www.frozen-perl.org/mpw2009/purchase by
noon on Monday 2/2.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, and we will get
back to you.

Thank you

Leonard Miller

I forgot to add that if you would like to give a lightning talk all
you need to do is to add your name and topic talk to our wikipage:

Thanks again for your time.
