African Nights Food Festival—27 NOVEMBER

MOKITIMI ART EXHIBIT—4-11 DECEMBER
Meshu Mokitimi, Lesotho’s most prominent artist will be honouring the Alliance
Française with an exhibition of his art. Meshu was born in the remote
village of Queme in the mid 1920's. Meshu's vivid images have been exhibited
widely in Africa, Europe, South America and the U.S. The opening will take
place on Friday 4th December at 4:30pm. Exhibition hours: Monday to
Thursday from 11:00am – 7:00pm. Friday from 11:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday from
9:00am – 1:00pm.
CHRISTMAS MARKET—5-12 DECEMBER
As Christmas is approaching, we ask ourselves: “Where can we find unique and

Market, off course! Dozens of talented artisans will be selling their products

Purpose:
I am writing this letter to propose a weekly Saturday morning sporting adventure. This will focus on
Football, Athletics and Netball primarily, and include other sports as time goes on.
This is presented as a solution to a recurring problem in primary schools. There are currently no
competitive sports amongst primary schools and as a result kids do not value physical education and
active lifestyles. This problem stretches out nationwide as sports are not encompassed in general
lifestyle. Sport is crucial for exercise and is an important part of healthy living and obesity avoidance.
Problems of inefficient sport:
- Children who do not engage in regular physical activity pose a higher risk of obesity.
- Sport instills a form of discipline in children.
- Sports encourages team building which is essential for the future .
- Sports also keep kids busy therefore ensuring that their attention does not move onto drugs and
other bad habits.
- Sports give kids life skills such as communication and social interaction from a young age.
- Sports also help kids break barriers between sexes, religion, social background, etc.
Solution:
With the support of the parents, outdoor sporting “drop your child off” or “play with the kids day”
is proposed. Every Saturday of the week different sporting games will be organized from ball
games(basketball, football, netball, swimming etc) and different summer activities such as Frisbees,
water balloons, hop scotch, traditional games and many more. NB: ALL THIS WILL BE TAKING PLACE

The program will be M300 per month, M100 per day for none members. A once off registration fee
