Subject: Reimagining the Migration Protection System: Critical Reflections from the Border

Hi all – Sharing upcoming webinar:

Reimagining the Migration Protection System: Critical Reflections from the Border

A compilation of essays from the participants of the 2023 Hope Border Academy.

How could humanitarian protection look like when/if informed by the lives of those who cross, live, and work on the US-MX Border? How can we articulate responses to the humanitarian crisis along the USMX Borderlands that take into consideration our communities' perspectives and lived experiences?

Join us on June 4th, at 11:00 am MT/1:00 pm ET for a conversation organized by Hope Border Institute and the Beasley School of Law at Temple University.

With the participation of:

· Gabriella Sanchez, Research Fellow, Collaborative on Global Children’s Issues, Georgetown University

· Dylan Corbett, Executive Director, Hope Border Institute

· Blanca Navarrete, Executive Director, Derechos Humanos Integrales en Acción (DHIA)

· Jaya Ramji-Nogales, Associate Dean for Research, I. Herman Stern Research Professor, Temple University, Beasley School of Law

· Grace Kaseke Kindeke, Program Coordinator, American Friends Service Committee

· Lupe Flores, PhD Candidate, Rice University’s Anthropology Department

Spanish and English interpretation will be available.

 Warmly,

Gabriella
