The component trashed my site!!

I've just installed all 3 parts (component and the 2 plugins) on
Joomla 1.5.14. First thing I did was open the component and followed
the steps outlined... nothing seemed to happen on the frontend so I
logged in (seemed obvious since you'd expect to need admin permissions
to edit things), but this results in a 500 Internal Server error
(meaning it's caused by extension...at least that's always been the
case thus far) in Internet Explorer 8 and a blank page in FireFox 3.

I tried clearing the browsers (both browsers) cookies and going back
in as a visitor and the site was restored, but every time I log in
this same error fires up. I tried reverting the changes (multiple
times now) and even disabling the component but nothing has helped.
Any ideas??

It might not be working too well with your template but I'm not sure.
Most probably if your template uses a lot of mootools 1.1 based
javascript. You might want to try it with a default template such as
rhuk_milkyway

Anyways, in case you want to disable this extension, you should
disable both the component and as well as both the plugins. There is
no reason why your site will not come back to its original state after
you do that.

Well... I tried the process of elimination technique and found that
it's resolved by disabling the Article Editor plugin. With this
disabled I'm able to view and edit some of the content (Article titles
and links within some of the menus) the front end of the site (with
both the default and my custom template). Unfortunately the Drag n
Drop of modules doesn't seem possible (even under Firefox 3) - again
using both templates - is there anything else not in the documentation
that I can do to enable it?
