Read through article and followed the steps.
I bought 0.108 Dash (48.01 XRP) via Bitrush and sent them straight to the DASH adres which I got via the deposit\receive button.
I got the email stating "Missing trustline" and couldn't enable the trustline "GateHub Fifth DASH" because also as stated the wallet is still deactivated.
At step 2 it get confusing for me, as I read it ones the wallet is funded, which as far as I understand doesn't work because the deposite will not go through because there is not trustline set which can't be done because the wallet is deactivated which is because there is no deposite/funded in there. (looks like chicken and the egg).
So what do i do,
1) Wait till the wallet magically become funded? (is a manual verification needed from gatehub before the wallet is activated)
2) Use the bithomp link and it will activate the wallet then?
Same issue here guys....Deposited ether to my wallet's ether address in gatehub, getting ''missing trustline'' emails and when trying to set the trustline, all i get is ''unknown error''. @Gatehub Where has user friendly interface gone ??? Can someone advise what needs to be done?
3. Wait for your deposit to be processed and wallet credited.
We will credit your wallet within a 24 hour window, once steps 1 and 2 are successfully completed.
Please keep in mind that ripple, bitcoin and ethereum networks get congested in times of high traffic - transaction processing time does prolong and delays are to be expected.
Looks like I have same problem. I sent 0.1 btc to the address given and all that happens is missing trust line again. Can this be reversed. I sent this from coin Base to gatehub. Can you reply Mr OWNER OF GATEHUB.
There seems to be very little supporting documents, discussions and other information about gatehub compared to coinjar. Gatehub was one of the first few online wallets available for ripple when it was first released though.
GateHub is a digital wallet. It allows users to store, send and exchange these cryptocurrencies in a built-in exchange. All private keys and passwords are hashed and encrypted using industry standard algorithms, even GateHub cannot access them.
The following table is going to help you get an overview of both the positive and negative sides of the wallet and respectively decide if it fits your need to worth with it. Check out my insights on the GateHub platform:
Having in mind that GateHub is a web wallet, there are no specific OS requirements. All you need is a web browser and you can access the platform, meaning that you can either use your PC or any mobile device.
Now, a few words on the XAU support as promised. 1 XAU is equal to 1 gold gram bar. You can buy from the trading section of your wallet and sell it in the same place in return of a crypto or fiat currency. Withdrawing happened via the FedEx company with golden bars. The minimum to request is 10 XAUs or 10g and it has a constant and stable value.
According to an Ars Technica report, the hackers took wallet hashes, mnemonic phrases, and two-factor authentication keys for 1.4 million accounts from the cryptocurrency wallet GateHub. The EpicBot hack was a little bit smaller, with 800,000 accounts leaked, including usernames, IP addresses, and encrypted passwords.
XRPL Labs, the pioneering team responsible for the XRPL-based self-custodial wallet Xumm, has forged a strategic alliance with GateHub, a prominent crypto trading platform and provider of hot wallet services.
GateHub was established by the UK-based company GateHub Limited. Back in 2014, the wallet suffered nearly loss of $5 million cryptos from the cryptocurrency exchange platform. This bad time was covered up and now things seem to improve on a brighter side.
In 2019, GateHub platform experienced a hack on vast scale. As many as 1.4 million accounts from the GateHub cryptocurrency wallet service. the 3.72GB Gatehub database said it also includes two-factor authentication keys, mnemonic phrases, and wallet hashes, although GateHub officials said an investigation suggested wallet hashes were not accessed. This is one of the largest hack of 2019.
This online wallet provides a simple and convenient platform with competitive trading fees. There are some negative reviews about GateHub wallet on social media. GateHub seems easy to use; both experienced, as well as beginners, can handle the wallet and platform.
GateHub is a Bitcoin, Ripple, Ethereum, Ethereum Classic and Augur wallet. It is especially focused on Ripple (XRP). Ripple is used by GateHub for trading and moving money across the Ripple network. However, it is business independent from Ripple. All digital GateHub coins can be traded against the USD, EUR, and some other fiat currencies. Apart from that, GateHub offers the coin-to-coin trading option.
GateHub started in 2013 with an idea: What if there was a wallet that could hold any type of asset, have an integrated exchange built-in and provide the ability to send and receive assets across any payment network instantly?
He decided to use the XRP Ledger because it was instant and allowed users to send multiple currencies across the network. But, while he could access and transfer funds on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), Pungerčar still needed a Bitstamp account to send money to the wallet itself. He needed more support in order to develop a more robust solution.
Wallet Protect is a world-first for the XRP Ledger. It provides users with the ability to secure their wallets with multi-signature and up to $100,000 of theft cover through a partnership with Coincover. Coincover offers a range of cryptocurrency protection products including fund recovery and deposit protection guarantee.
UPDATE 18 January 2021: We have decided to clean up our Cryptocurrency Wallet List. In line with that ambition, we have removed all cryptocurrency wallets that you automatically receive/create when opening up an account with a specific cryptocurrency exchange from the list. Gatehub Wallet is one of those wallets. We kindly ask you to visit Gatehub Exchange instead for a more detailed review on Gatehub's offering.
People often associate the GateHub wallet with Ripple. Many people still think it is solely XRP based. However, GateHub supports other cryptocurrencies. There is no affiliation between GateHub and Ripple. You can use it for transferring funds across the Ripple network. The web-based platform offers wallet services, trading, analytics, exchange, and payments services.
Although it now accommodates other coins, GateHub was initially created for Ripple. GateHub Limited, a UK-based company, launched the GateHub platform in November 2014. Its initial function was to allow people to store and trade XRP. However, the platform now supports other coins. The wallet supports desktop, Android and iOS devices.
One of the features of GateHub wallet is that it supports fiat currencies such as the USD. Other supported fiat currencies include EUR, CNY, and JPY. The wallet was originally built to support Ripple (XRP). Albeit, the platform now supports eight coins. These are:
The GateHub wallet has an inbuilt payment gateway. This payment gateway allows you to deposit fiat. However, you need to go through a verification process. It may take a few days to get your account verified. You can buy coins using a bank account through SEPA or SWIFT. When using GateHub to store Ripple, you need to hold a minimum of 20 XRP. This same system applies to all Ripple wallets. GateHub charges 0.00053 BTC for Bitcoin deposits and 0.011 ETH for Ethereum deposits.
GateHub utilises 2factor authentication to help users keep their crypto safe. You have to present your phone number for 2FA. The wallet suffered hacking in the past. $5 million was stolen in August 2017. In June 2019, almost $10 million was also stolen from the wallet. The company had however assured the public that quality measure to prevent such an attack has been taken. The company also said no user information or funds were affected.
