Does anyone know if Master Cam offers or sales a hasp that I can use at home without having to buy a complete second seat ? I have mill level 3 at work but I sometimes draw at home . I have solid works 2010 and they allow me to run on two computers just not at the same time.We only have one cnc mill and im the only programmer we have. I dont even need to be able to post or create tool paths just draw my geometry . I have been taking the hasp from computer to computer, drawing in solid works then converting,even done the go to my pc thing over the internet. Any ideas??
Old (Win 7) computer in the shop is dying, so I am trying to set up a new (old, but good) computer. It is Windows 10, if that matters. I installed MC2019. I notice when I plug the hasp in, nothing happens (I expected the computer to recognize a new USB component.) And I have tried it in different USB ports. When I double click the hasp update, it says it can not find the hasp.
Problem occurs on some MasterCAM X workstations using a NetHASP. The user will try to post from MasterCAM with CIMCO set as the default editor. The post will save fine but when going to open the post in the default editor an error appears "MasterCAM hasp not found".
1. Navigate to MasterCAM install directory.
2. Open Notepad as Administrator.
3. Open from Notepad nethasp.ini
4. Find the key NH_SERVER_ADDR and set it to the IP of your HASP server.
5. Save and Exit.
