Position: SAP Production Planning/ Manufacturing Functional Consultant

Work Location: Houston, Texas (Onsite)

Required Work Authorization: H1B/GC/GC EAD/ USC

Type of Hire: Corp to Corp (C2C)

 

Position Summary:

 

We are seeking an experienced SAP PP / Manufacturing Consultant with deep expertise in production planning processes and strong integration knowledge across SAP modules. The ideal candidate will support end-to-end manufacturing solutions, from requirements gathering through deployment and support, ensuring seamless integration with logistics, finance, and supply chain functions.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

·       Lead design, configuration, and implementation of SAP Production Planning (PP) solutions.

·       Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP functional specifications.

 

Configure and support:

 

·       Material Requirements Planning (MRP).

·       Bills of Materials (BOM).

·       Work Centers & Routings.

·       Production Orders / Process Orders.

·       Demand Management & Capacity Planning.

 

Integrate SAP PP with other modules including:

 

·       MM (Materials Management) – procurement, inventory, goods movements.

·       SD (Sales & Distribution) – demand, order fulfilment.

·       QM (Quality Management) – inspection and quality processes.

·       PM (Plant Maintenance) – maintenance planning tied to production.

·       FI/CO (Finance & Controlling) – product costing, variance analysis.

·       PS (Project System) – overall project structure, cost planning, & scheduling.     

·       WM/EWM (Warehouse Management) – staging and goods movement.

·       Support manufacturing execution processes and shop floor integration.

·       Work with technical teams on RICEFWs such as enhancements, reports, forms, workflows and interfaces (e.g., IDocs, BAPIs).

·       Participate in testing (unit, integration, UAT), and cutover activities.

·       Provide post-go-live support/hyper care and continuous improvement recommendations.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

·       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, or related field.

·       8–10+ years of SAP PP / Manufacturing experience.

·       Minimum of 3+ full lifecycle SAP implementations.

 

Strong knowledge of:

 

·       Discrete and/or process manufacturing.

·       MRP strategies and planning scenarios.

·       Production execution and confirmation processes.

·       Proven experience integrating PP with MM, SD, FI/CO, PS and QM.

·       Experience with S/4HANA Manufacturing preferred.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Additional Qualifications:

 

·       Experience with:

o   Advanced Planning (PP/DS or APO).

o   MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) integration.

o   Batch management and serialization.

o   Knowledge of the Oil & Gas industry.

o   SAP certification in PP or S/4HANA Manufacturing.
