Job Title: Lab Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Required Skills:
· 8+ years of overall experience in Telecom Network Engineering, Lab Validation, or Service Assurance with strong expertise in fixed-line broadband technologies.
· Hands-on experience with GPON, XGS-PON, Fiber Access Networks, and xPON technologies in telecom lab or production environments.
· Strong experience in Service Assurance Testing, including fault management, alarm validation, alarm correlation, event management, and incident ticketing workflows.
· Proven experience testing and validating End-to-End OSS integrations, particularly across NetCracker OSS, ServiceNow, Salesforce, and other enterprise platforms.
· Hands-on experience working with Element Management Systems (EMS) and Network Management Systems (NMS), preferably Nokia and Adtran platforms.
· Strong understanding of Network Operations Center (NOC) processes, including incident management, event management, network inventory, and operational workflows.
· Good knowledge of telecom network architectures covering IP Networks, Optical Networks, Fiber Access, and Fixed-Line Broadband technologies.
· Experience performing lab-based validation, network failure simulation, root cause analysis, and deployment verification for telecom network releases.
· Ability to troubleshoot complex telecom network issues involving hardware, software, OSS platforms, and network elements.
· Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
· Willingness to support monthly night deployment testing and weekly evening release validation during maintenance windows.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform comprehensive Service Assurance Testing by validating fault management, alarm correlation, event processing, and incident ticketing workflows.
· Simulate network failures in lab environments to verify alarm accuracy, fault detection, and root cause analysis capabilities.
· Execute End-to-End integration testing across NetCracker OSS, ServiceNow, Salesforce, and telecom management platforms.
· Validate interoperability between OSS applications and EMS/NMS platforms, including Nokia and Adtran network elements.
· Support telecom network validation across GPON, XGS-PON, Fiber Access, IP, and Optical Network domains.
· Work closely with NOC, Operations, Engineering, and Development teams to validate release readiness and ensure production stability.
· Perform deployment validation, regression testing, and post-deployment verification during maintenance windows.
· Analyze network logs, alarms, and operational data to identify issues, troubleshoot failures, and recommend corrective actions.
