Flux of Time

The city has grown bigger
Swallowing trees and pastures
I can’t hear my inner voice
On the buzzing road
I can’t find my soul
Amidst the clamor

Dreams that flowered luxuriantly
In the simplicity of souls
Struggle for breath now
In the fast changing lanes

Each passing day took away something
A tree, a grassy field, a smile, a home
Leaving the paths stark and cold

Where do we find now…
Serenity of nightfall
The chats in veranda
While the moths fluttered around a yellow bulb
And peals of laughter broke down the walls

Where do we find now…
A sense of togetherness

As each moment vanishes
Swallowed by time
I wish its echo would live forever

Hi Doc Fabrizio, hope you are doing well. Since I couldn't succeed in posting my poem in the group, I'm sending it to you. If you think it fit for the project, kindly submit it on my behalf. Cheers. Gud day😊
