Deploy Tools

What do people use for deployment tools for their websites?  Right now I just use FTP, but that's getting cumbersome.

Capistrano and Vlad. Both are ruby-based (not rails, just ruby). Very
excellent.

Took me a bit to understand and learn but it hurts when I can't use them
for a project.
