first i want to apologize for not writing sooner. I haven't written
in two weeks and i kinda left yall hanging.
I got home a week ago but i left two days later to spend the week in
arkansas with my family so that's why i didn't write sooner.
anyway...
To those of you who were wondering about the bandaid situation, it did
get resolved. Though not in the way i thought it would. Fiona, one
of the YWAM workers, goes every Wednesday to the store to get the
supplies for the week and she got bandaids the day that i was going to
talk about it at the meeting. She said that she would keep getting
them when we need them so that issue wasn't necessary to bring up.
Also the vitamins were out of the control of the Kinghorns and we did
get bandaids two days later. Thank you so much for your prayers on
these issues. Just because things didn't go the way i thought doesn't
mean God didn't answer those prayers. He just did it in a better way.
His way.
For the record, I cannot recommend that anyone ever flies with British
Airways if they can help it. One of my bags was lost at the
Johannesburg airport and is still missing. They also misplaced 17
bags from the First Baptist Woodway team, most of which have been
found by now. My flight into London was delayed which meant i missed
my flight out of London. I did get home on the right day but i was
four hours late. so tomorrow i'm going to file my formal complaint
since it has been ten days and i have to start listing what was in my
bag and how much it was worth. woo hoo.
On a brighter note, I am very glad to be home. It was good to go to
my church this morning and see friends and eat at freebirds. haha.
Thank you all for reading along and sharing part of this experience
with me. Thank you for your prayers. I know it seemed sometimes like
this summer was a huge burden but God really taught me alot and I
wouldn't change anything about it.
