I'm a totally inexperienced person looking to start running. I did some research on running shoes and the Pegasus 39 seemed to have a pretty god rep. What i would really value in the sneakers is good shock absorption, longevity and overall quality, without having to sell a kidney for them. Is it worth investing the money into those, or should i just spend a bit more on a different model?

Nike tennis shoes are considered by many to be the premier tennis shoes in the industry, and for good reason. Nike shoes are the most utilized tennis shoes by professionals on both the ATP and WTA tours. Value Shoes: Those who are new to tennis, or do not need highly-specialized shoes, should shop for value shoes. These tennis shoes are the least expensive available, but still allow players to experience the benefits of a tennis-specific shoe. Nike offers the Zoom Court Lite 3 for this purpose.

At Tennis Express we also offer a few running shoes, training shoes, and slides to complement our wide selection of tennis shoes. Don't forget to check out our sales section to shop discounted Nike tennis shoes.

Years later, Nike signed Jordan to a contract; he is currently entitled to 5% royalties on each Jordan Brand shoe sale. Kunkel explained that more brands now exchange company stock or equity stakes for an athlete to stay with their company. He said athletes also started to be more involved in the design process of their brands. Jordan is involved in the design of his shoes, which keeps him happy as the sponsored athlete and helps increase sales, because consumers have an extra layer of comfort investing in Air Jordans knowing that one of the biggest sports superstars signed off on them.

Today, shoe companies regularly make sneaker partnerships with clothing or other celebrity brands. Rapper Travis Scott released several sneaker lines in partnership with the Jordan Brand and Nike, earning him about $10 million per year. The rise of sneakers in fashion allows brands to sell shoes at higher price tiers, according to Kunkel.

Shoemakers at Nike create vibrant sneakers, whose limited production runs can turn them into valuable collector's items, with one pair of Nike "Mags" fetching $52,000 at auction in 2017.[1]XResearch source If you want to check and see whether your Nikes will fetch top dollar online, or simply wish to replace a worn out pair, you can usually find the model number on the inside tag. Otherwise, you may be able to learn your model number online.

In-game shoes resembling the Air Max 270 and Air Max 95, the Sesame Salt 270s and Sea Slug Volt 95s, were added to Splatoon 2 on 16 March 2018 at 02:00 UTC. Twenty years ago, on March 24 and 25, 1997, 39 members of the Heaven's Gate cult went to a rented house in an upscale San Diego suburb and took their own lives in an attempt to board a UFO they believed to be trailing the passing Hale-Bopp comet. One of the strangest aspects of the already bizarre cultural event was that the cultists' bodies were found decked out in matching black shirts and sweatpants, as well as fresh-from-the-box pairs of black-and-white sneakers. In the weeks following the suicides, news programs broadcast video from inside the house around the world. The footage showed dozens of Heaven's Gate member corpses, each covered by a purple sheet, with only the shoes peeking out from the bottom. The shoes worn by the cultists were part of a bland budget line produced by Nike called Decades. According to a Sole Collector article that spoke with Mark and Sarah King, former Heaven's Gate members who keep the cult's turn-of-the-millennium website operational to this day, Heaven's Gate founder Marshall Applewhite purchased the sneakers primarily because he liked their look and was "able to get a good deal" on them by buying in bulk.

Though the brand is certainly not culpable for anything leading up to the suicides, by pulling the sneakers from the market, Nike turned the once innocuous shoes into highly prized collectors' items within the burgeoning sneaker collecting community. Nike did not respond to my request for a comment for this article. I spoke with Tony Jankun, a vintage-clothing retailer who says he's been collecting and selling shoes since well before the "sneakerhead" label came into popularity, about his hunt for the iconic shoes. Jankun told me he hadn't even heard of Heaven's Gate until he happened to catch a TV documentary about the cult. "They didn't say the name of the shoe," said Jankun. "They just said they were all black Nike's with a white swoosh and a white sole." Those few details were enough to set him on the trail, and just a short while later, Jankun found his first pairs of Decades while browsing a flea market in Chicago.

Unfortunately, these pairs were all children's sizes, but Jankun was still able to turn a nice profit by selling the sets he'd purchased for $10 for around $150 each to collectors with smaller feet than his. As the years progress, the increasingly rare shoes have gone up in resell price. A pair of the original Decades is currently listed on eBay for the too on-the-nose asking price of $6,660, though Jankun says there's no way anyone should or will pay that much.

Eventually, Jankun found a pair of the rare sneakers in a size that fit him, but as he is admittedly more addicted to the high of the hunt than the ownership of his quarry, he sold his last pair of Decades a decade ago at Sneakerness, an annual shoe convention held in Switzerland. Despite the baggage attached to them, Jankun says he never felt any sense of morbidity about buying, selling, or wearing the shoes. "I didn't feel weird or any type of supernatural way," remarked Jankun. "I felt like I had a part of history."

Nike Air Force is a range of athletic shoes made by Nike that began with Air Force 1.[1] It was created by designer Bruce Kilgore[2] and was the first basketball shoe to use Nike's "Air" technology.[3] The shoe is offered in low-, mid- and high-top styles.

The shoes are sold in 3 different styles: low, mid, and high. The mid comes with a connected strap. The high-top Air Force 1s come with a velcro strap; the mid-top strap is secured to the shoe while the high-top's strap is movable and removable on some versions. Although the shoe comes in different colors and color schemes, the most common Air Force 1s sold are solid white (also referred to as "white on white"), the second most common being solid black ("black on black").[4] Another identifying characteristic of an Air Force 1 shoe is a small medallion secured to the bottom of the laces but with holes on both sides so it can be removed by sliding it off the shoe lace.[5] The medallion is engraved with the inscription "AF-1", with the year "'82" inscribed beside it, and has historically been colored silver.

The Air Force 3 introduced in 1988 was the most popular version of the Air Force series. It was worn by many basketball players at the time.[citation needed] The Air Force III was more rugged looking and more durable than the previous two versions. The original colorway was white/medium grey/black, however several other colors were introduced shortly after. An actual "Air FORCE" logo was introduced on this model as well, with an image of half of a basketball on the tongue. This logo would be used on the rest of the Air Force series. The Air Force III was re-issued in 2006 in a very limited edition of colorways for the high top, and several colorways for the low top version.

The Air Force 5 was introduced in 1990. The Air Force V was the first model to make the airbag visible on the side heels of the shoe. The most popular colorway was white/medium grey/black/orange. Just like the previous version it was slightly higher than the first three versions. This was also the last original Air Force model to be made.

In 2007, for the 25th anniversary of Air Force 1, Nike created the Air Force XXV, which took inspiration from the original model. This version featured a mismatched set of medallions to commemorate its twenty fifth anniversary; one being from the original Air Force 1s with the other from the Air Force 25s.

St. Louis rapper Nelly and his group, St. Lunatics, released a 2002 single titled "Air Force Ones" about the shoes. The shoe is also a focus of 2007 single "Classic (Better Than I've Ever Been)", a collaboration between Kanye West, Nas, Rakim and KRS-One.[7] "Black Air Force 2's" are mentioned in the second line of the lyrics of the 2008 single "Dope Boys", released from The Game's third studio album, LAX.

As one of the world's leading sportswear companies, Nike has been redefining footwear and clothing since its inception in 1964. Renowned for its bold designs and advanced technology, Nike continues to shape the future of sportswear. Nike shoes particularly are iconic in the world of fashion and sport. This is a rare, and powerful, combination in our culture.
